The Quality Assurance Center at Tanta University provides technical support to the university’s colleges to complete the establishment of an internal quality system that ensures the following elements are met: 1- Preparing and approving the administrative structure of the quality assurance units in the university’s colleges. 2- Assisting colleges in preparing self-studies. 3- Assist in preparing annual self-evaluation reports. 4- Helping colleges to apply for quality projects (continuous development and qualification project for CIQAP accreditation and competitive projects) 5- Follow up on the implementation of quality projects in colleges and provide the necessary technical support for them.
The center provides awareness and training on quality assurance systems and mechanisms and qualification for accreditation while fulfilling the following elements: 1- Spreading awareness of the culture and concepts of quality and accreditation requirements among the university community (faculty members, assistants, students and administrators) as well as participants in the educational process from outside the university. 2- Holding training courses and workshops in the university community in the field of quality management. 3- Preparing cadres of faculty members by holding TOT (training of trainers) courses in the field of quality management. 4- Holding seminars and conferences in the field of quality assurance.
This is to achieve the following: 1- Ensuring academic and administrative quality, and ensuring the quality of research activities and community services provided by the university through an internal system approved by the National Authority for Educational Quality Assurance and Accreditation. 2- An annual self-evaluation of the performance of all elements of the activities of the university colleges, which includes: the mission - the structure and methods of management - faculty members - academic standards, educational programs and quality of learning opportunities - research and other activities - community participation - quality management - action plan in order to identify strengths and Weakness. 3- Develop a plan to work on improving the weak points, work to support and enhance the strengths, and set controls to follow up on this plan.
This is done on a regular and continuous basis to review the extent of achieving accreditation standards in the same way as what is done by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education and prepare reports, including the strengths and weaknesses of the accreditation standards with proposals for improvement to activate them and develop improvement plans through college councils.
To follow up on the implementation of projects by activating cooperation and technical support protocols, follow-up visits and technical support to help university colleges qualify to apply for accreditation.
To hold training courses and conduct exploratory visits to university colleges to determine the extent to which the criteria for applying for accreditation by the Commission have been met.
Establishing integrated systems to ensure the quality of the university’s educational, research and service activities and enhancing its capabilities for continuous development to ensure that the university and all its colleges obtain institutional and academic accreditation from local, regional and international bodies with distinguished reputations.....
